It’s Done

I’ve successfully injected myself. My arm pits are sweaty, and I want to pass out a little bit, but it’s over. Here are some pics from my prep. Don’t worry, I couldn’t bring myself to photograph anything squeamish.

All the equipment and resource materials: 1 Q Cap (mixing tool), 1 syringe with giant-ass needle  for intramuscular injections (that I thankfully didn’t have to use), 1 teeny needle for  subcutaneous injections (infinitely less scary), 1 vial of medicinal powder, 1 vial of diluent for said medicinal powder, a couple of alcohol swabs, some gauze, biohazard container, instruction booklet, and demonstration video.

Close-up on the instruments of death.

Close-up on the vials, because they’re little and cute, and something in this has to be.

Chris helped me get everything prepared, but I decided to do the actual injection myself. I barely felt the needle going in, and there was only a very slight stinging when I injected the medicine. The worst part was pulling the needle out and pressing the gauze to the injection site. That caused a little mild stinging. But it was over pretty quickly. Chris said I took it like a champ. I don’t know. Bring on the vaginal suppositories! I think those are more my speed.
